The beginning of dysfunction in organizations is the lack of trust.  It is a simple formula:  when trust is present, high quality work is produced…..when trust is absent, fear invades the workforce.  When organizations lack trust employees tend to ask questions of the true intentions of their leaders due to an apparent lack of integrity.

I don’t know about you, but I have worked under several different leaders who greatly lacked integrity and the ability to gain the trust of those around them.  To put it simply this changes the culture of your organization.  Trust is not given blindly, it has to be earned.  Does your manager continually do things that breach your trust? Or, does your manager continually do things that build your trust?
